Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PDFImageToWord.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.

The Service is provided free of charge as a convenience tool. By using it, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.

2. Description of the Service

PDFImageToWord is a browser-based tool that converts PDF and image files (including PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, and HEIC) into editable Word (.docx) documents using optical character recognition (OCR). All processing occurs locally in your browser. We do not provide cloud storage, file hosting, or account services.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Process content that you do not have the right to use or reproduce.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service's components.
  • Use automated means (such as bots or scrapers) to access the Service in a way that disrupts normal operation.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service's design, text, graphics, and software are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The open-source libraries that power the converter (including Tesseract.js, PDF.js, and docx) remain licensed under their respective open-source licenses.

Content you convert remains your property. We claim no ownership over the documents you process.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that OCR results will be perfectly accurate. OCR accuracy depends on the quality and clarity of your source files.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFImageToWord and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how your data is handled. In short: your files are processed locally and never uploaded to our servers.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PDFImageToWord is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
